"In the city of Almaty, together with the Almaty Police Department, in order to collect tax arrears for motor vehicles, an operational and preventive event "Boryshker" is being held from March 12 to 14, 2025," the Department of State Revenue in Almaty reports.

Debtors' cars, which have a resolution from private bailiffs, are detected using Sergek cameras and placed in a parking lot until the debt is fully paid off.

To date, the vehicle tax arrears amount to KZT 3.7 billion.  The main part of the debt falls on cars with a large engine capacity of over 4000 cc

. During the raid measures, the owners of 12 vehicles for a total of 1.6 million tenge were paid, 9 vehicles were placed in a parking lot.

The Department of Internal Affairs of Almaty urges car owners to pay off their tax debts in the near future, in order to avoid being placed in impoundments and the cost of paying for bailiffs.
