In accordance with Article 18 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Regulation of Trade Activities", Articles 29 and 47 of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union dated May 29, 2014, as well as paragraph 10 of Annex 7 to the said Treaty, with the exception of the EAEU HS code 4406910000 "Softwood wooden sleepers for railways or tramways, other" and the EAEU HS code 4401310000 "Wood pellets", the country of origin of which is the Republic of Kazakhstan, Regardless of the country of origin, a ban has been imposed on the export of certain types of wood materials from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan (EAEU HS codes 4401, 4403, 4404, 4406 and 4407) by all modes of transport for a period of six months.

The ban has been in effect since December 12, 2025.
